Express Timesync 3.5.1412 has been released and is available for download. The updated version has the following enhancements:

• Stratum Level-1^* and Stratum Level-2 Time Servers Support
  
  New Time Server Wizard allows specifying desired stratum level of time servers. You can increase the accuracy of time synchronization on your network by using stratum level 1 time servers. Client machines should continue using stratum-2 servers. You can also specify the stratum level for each time server on the Time Server Properties dialog.
• Multi-host Time Servers
  
  For convenience, you can specify several hosts for a time server to control reduce server load. Express Timesync will query a random host from the list when the time synchronization takes place.
• Updated Time Server Directory
  
  More than 200 national time servers are available from the New Time Server Wizard including STRATUM-1 and STRATUM-2 servers.

Express Timesync 3.3.575 is available for download. The updated version has the following enhancements:

• Setup Local Time Server Wizard^*
  
  You can configure any machine as a network time server to save Internet traffic and maintain reliable and effective network time synchronization.
• HTTP Proxy Server Support
  
  HTTP 1.1 compatible proxy servers can be used to connect to time servers on Internet. Basic and NTLM proxy authentication schemes are supported.
• New Time Synchronization Protocols
  
  Express Timesync 3.4 supports Daytime and LAN Manager protocols. Two common time code formats of Daytime protocol are supported: NIST time code and Windows time code.
• Synchronize Time at System Startup
  
  You can configure Express Timesync to synchronize time at system startup prior to system logon.
• Test Time Server Settings
  
  Test Time Server Settings option has been added to the Time Server Test Wizard. You can check whether time servers in your reference time server list are properly configured.
• Time Server Settings Validation
  
  When you apply changes to time server settings, Express Timesync automatically checks whether new settings are compatible with current network configuration.
• Enhanced Security^*
  
  Only system administrators can apply configuration changes.

From now on, two versions of Express Timesync are available: Standard and Professional. Brief description of each version is given below.

Standard Version

Standard version is designed to be used on a single computer or a small network. It is an ideal solution to keep your desktop computer time correct.

Professional Version

Professional version provides advanced features for accurate and reliable network time synchronization. It is designed to be uses in small and medium-sized networks. Express Timesync Professional includes support for additional time synchronization protocols and can be used to configure a local time server.

The registered users can upgrade from the previous version to Express Timesync (Standard) for free. We sent new license keys to all registered users. If are a registered user and have not received the new license key, please contact us and we will re-send it to you.

  In response to our users requests we implemented Windows Task Scheduler integration, which allows Express Timesync to synchronize the computer clock even if no user is logged on to system and provides advanced scheduling capabilities.
• A new Clock Synchronization Schedule Wizard has been added.
• Time server test results are presented using new report style.
• Time server response time test is now available on Windows 9X systems.

Express Timesync 3.2.241 is available for download. The updated version has the following enhancements:

• Enhanced event logging
  
  From now on, Express Timesync can log the clock synchronization events to file. You can define the destination path name for log file and choose event types to log.
• An extra checking for correct system date has been added
  
  The new version checks the current system date prior to setting the system time. The correct system date should be set, otherwise clock synchronization fails.

The main thing that distinguishes it from other utilities is that it implements a 'one click' approach to simplify the clock synchronization tasks.

March 17, 2005 - Express Timesync 3.1.221 released

Express Timesync 3.1.221 is now available for both licensed users, and as an evaluation. Licensed users can update to this version at no cost.

The updated version has new features and enhancements, including:

• Added support for TIME, SOCKS4 and SOCKS4A protocols
• Changed the algorithm of querying the time servers. From now on, Express Timesync stores a prioritized reference time server list. You can define the order in which time servers are queried as well as conditions for filtering timestamps received from them.
• Added new command line arguments to help administrators to run Express Timesync from batch processes.
• Added new time server test feature. Express Timesync can check the availability of time servers, test the response time and detect the optimal protocol settings for each time server from the reference time server list.
• Most of tasks are completed with wizards, which help you to avoid errors while configuring Express Timesync.
• Added event logging feature. Express Timesync adds a record for each event to event log. This helps to prevent errors on early stages.
• In addition to maintaining the clock synchronization statistics, the new version provides the clock synchronization history, so you can see how clock offset changes between synchronization attempts.
